The coins issued by BNR in 2025 feature the model of the National Cathedral, with nominal values of 500 lei (gold), 10 lei (silver), and 1 leu (copper tombac). The common reverse illustrates the Patriarchal Palace. The gold and silver coins are packaged in capsules with brochures and certificates of authenticity, while those made of copper tombac are in leaflets. The maximum mintage is 1,000 pieces for gold and 5,000 for silver and copper tombac. Prices range between 250 and 23,000 lei, and the coins have legal tender status in Romania.
