The current head of DIICOT Timișoara, prosecutor Codrin Miron, was heard by the Section for Prosecutors of the CSM and received a unanimous opinion (6-0) to take over the leadership of the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT).
His proposal will be sent to the Minister of Justice, Radu Marinescu, and then to the President of Romania, Nicușor Dan. Miron emphasized in the hearing that DIICOT can function better, mentioning drug seizures and the desire to decentralize communication within the institution.
He highlighted the importance of collaboration between prosecutors and presented a management project aimed at increasing the operational capacity of DIICOT. The final decision regarding his appointment will be made by the President of Romania.
