Meteorologists have issued code yellow warnings for heat in the south of the country and thunderstorms in Transylvania and Moldova.

The code yellow warnings cover most of the country, with heat in the southern half of Oltenia, Muntenia and continental Dobrogea, where temperatures will reach 34-37 degrees. In Transylvania, Moldova and mountainous areas, thunderstorms with heavy showers, thunderstorms with lightning and wind gusts of 50-70 km/h are expected. Water amounts may exceed 40-60 l/mp in some areas.
