The Minister of the Environment, Diana Buzioanu, informed that all the needs of the local authorities in the areas affected by the water crisis generated by the Paltinul reservoir will be centralized. A meeting of the National Committee for Emergency Situations (CNSU) will be organized to provide governmental support. Following heavy rainfall, the water supply was halted due to the high turbidity of the water. The turbidity level is constantly being measured, and the water treatment process will begin as soon as the parameters allow, lasting approximately 72 hours. Hidroelectrica will contribute to ensuring the water flow. Works to supplement the water reserves will begin on Tuesday, and in the medium term, it is necessary to lower the water level for the safety of the dam. Local authorities are encouraged to have plans for supplementing water reserves, and the control body of the Ministry of the Environment will analyze the current situation.
