CNIR signed a contract with FCC Construccion for section 3 Lețcani - DN 24 of the A8 Highway, worth 3.93 billion lei

The National Company for Road Investments (CNIR) signed a contract on Friday with the Spanish constructor FCC Construccion for the design and execution of section 3 of the Unirii Highway (A8), between Lezani (DN28) and DN 24, with a value of 3.93 billion lei, excluding VAT. Gabriel Budescu, the general director of CNIR, emphasized that FCC Construccion has solid experience in infrastructure, but warned that the deadlines for this project are strict and deviations will not be accepted.

The project includes 18 bridges and passages, six tunnels, and a monitoring center, having a duration of 46 months, of which 10 months for design and 36 for execution. CNIR representatives highlighted the importance of this segment for connectivity and mobility to European standards, contributing to the development of the region and national security.
