Claudiu Târziu, who left AUR, expressed doubts regarding Anca Alexandrescu's connection to conservatism, emphasizing that she had a career in proximity to PSD and adopted sovereignism for commercial reasons. Târziu commented on AUR's controversial payments to Realitatea Plus, revealing that the party paid 450,000 euros for an edition of its show, without receiving the promised advertising. The Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) filed a criminal complaint, claiming that AUR did not receive the services for which it paid. In the spring campaign of 2024, AUR spent 5 million euros, of which only 1.5 million were for actual services. Târziu stated that he does not support anyone in the Bucharest elections, believing that the future mayor will be influenced by interest groups.
