The Mayor of the Capital, Ciprian Ciucu, met on Tuesday with the residents affected by the explosion of the building in Rahova, which occurred on October 17, 2025. The mayor announced that, in approximately three months, residents will have access to their apartments to recover their belongings.

Only one company, Apolodor, has been willing to take on the work to secure the building. Ciucu explained that the first stage will be the design, followed by ensuring the structure of the building, which will take a total of 80 days. The affected part of the building will be demolished, and a technical expertise will determine whether the remaining part can be reinforced or must be completely demolished. The mayor emphasized the importance of the residents' lives and promised assistance in recovering documents and belongings. Residents had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss solutions for recovering their belongings.
