An investigation conducted by 'Save the Children Romania' shows that most children in Romania spend their day between school, homework, and the internet, having little time for rest and outdoor activities.

According to a survey conducted by 'Save the Children Romania' on a sample of nearly 1,500 children aged between 9 and 17 years, a Romanian child's day is dominated by school and screens, leaving little room for sleep, sports, or family interaction.

A child spends an average of 5-6 hours at school and 1-2 hours on homework, followed by 3-4 hours on the internet. In large cities, 41% of children allocate more than three hours for homework. Additionally, 62% of children spend at least three hours online daily, and 34% do not engage in sports at all during a typical week. Almost 42% of children take tutoring lessons, and most of them wish for more time for sleep, family, and outdoor activities. Gabriela Alexandrescu, the executive president of 'Save the Children Romania', emphasizes that this situation represents a warning signal for the psycho-emotional health of children.
