The leadership of the Investment and Development Bank (BID) will be changed, according to the announcement made by the Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare. He specified that a selection process for a new supervisory board is underway, considering the high expenses with management salaries, which have reached 20 million lei in 2024.

BID, created at the end of 2023, has the mission of supporting economic development, competitiveness, and achieving climate neutrality. The bank will provide financial resources for over 25,000 SMEs, with a portfolio guarantee estimated at 1.2 billion euros by 2026.
