The interim Deputy Prime Minister Cătălin Predoiu published an analysis in which he highlights the risks Romania faces due to the absence of a fully mandated government. He states that the country is missing the opportunity to become an essential player in European connectivity, considering its strategic position at the intersection of several regions.

Predoiu mentions emerging trade corridors, such as the Middle Corridor, which connects Central Asia to Europe, and the TRIPP and IMEC corridors, which can transform Romania into a connectivity hub. He also emphasizes the importance of the Port of Constanța as an entry point into the European Union for goods from Central Asia. Predoiu warns that without a stable government, Romania risks becoming a peripheral transit country, thus losing the chance to benefit from essential trade and energy flows for its economic development.
