Călin Georgescu, a former extremist candidate for the Romanian presidency, has been indicted on charges of legionary propaganda after he quoted from Corneliu Zelea Codreanu in a TV program. On his way out of the Prosecutor General's Office, he appealed to President Trump for help, arguing that America will contribute to the fall of neocolonial regimes. Georgescu said that the colonial regime in Romania would fall by itself, promoting fascist and legionary ideas, which drew negative reactions from society.
