The purchasing power in Bulgaria is 13,079 euros, compared to 13,023 euros in Romania and 12,436 euros in Greece. This indicator reflects the amount of goods and services that can be purchased with the same amount of money, highlighting Bulgaria's economic progress since its accession to the European Union in 2007. In the Balkan region, Turkey, Serbia, and North Macedonia have lower purchasing powers, while Albania is at the lowest level. At the level of the European Union, Luxembourg leads with 38,581 euros, while Hungary is at the bottom with 11,999 euros, highlighting a considerable difference between EU countries.
