Stelian Bujduveanu, the interim mayor of the Capital, announced the opening of bids for the reinforcement of three underpasses in Bucharest, classified as having a seismic risk of grade V: Lujerului Underpass, Bucur Obor Underpass, and Băneasa Bridge. The Bucharest Roads Administration (ASB) has initiated the public bidding procedures, and the evaluation of the bids will follow after the winners are designated.

Bucur Obor Underpass has an estimated value of 114.9 million lei, Lujerului Underpass 203.2 million lei, and Băneasa Bridge 21.8 million lei. Reinforcement is essential for the safety of users and the smooth flow of traffic. Recent expert assessments have highlighted the urgent need for these works to prevent structural degradation. Bids have been submitted by various construction associations, and the works will ensure traffic circulation under safe conditions.
