Bucharest's General Council, under the leadership of Nicușor Dan, will adopt a velo master plan that foresees the creation of 550 km of bicycle lanes, including 150 km on major boulevards and 400 km on secondary streets. While the news is positive, the NGOs point out that there have been many similar plans over the years that have not been implemented, and it could be a long time between the adoption of this master plan and the actual realization of the first lanes.
