Bucharest's PAOV (Action Plan for a Green City) aims to invest more than €6.5 billion over the next 5 years to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 10% annually. The plan includes 32 actions, mostly focused on public transport and waste management. Most of the financing comes from EU funds and its implementation could turn Bucharest into a green city by 2040, making a significant contribution to achieving climate neutrality.
