Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated that Transelectrica and the main energy suppliers have issued connection agreements in the network for 78,000 megawatts, eight times more than Romania's current capacity. Bolojan emphasized that if half of these investments were realized, Romania could provide electricity for almost all of Central Europe.

However, he accused the "smart boys" in energy of blocking capacities and selling maps, without actually investing. The Prime Minister announced that restrictions will be imposed on those who have received connection approvals, in order to eliminate unfeasible projects and facilitate serious investments. Bolojan estimates that energy prices could decrease by 10-20% through these measures, which will be implemented quickly, with a new regulation expected in April.
