The Navy Day ceremonies held in Constanța were marked by tense moments, after Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan was booed during his speech. The event took place in the context of a notable absence, President Nicușor Dan not attending for the second consecutive year at the festivities.

The official reaction came from the first vice-president of PNL, Ciprian Ciucu, who stated on social media that the Prime Minister anticipated these hostile manifestations. Ciucu attributed the booing to a "horrible campaign" carried out throughout this year, claiming that it was part of a setup orchestrated by the "enemies of democracy".

"He knew he would be booed, but he went because someone had to be there and represent the Romanian state. It is an important, symbolic moment. He took on a mission of sacrifice," Ciprian Ciucu specified.
