Bitdefender warns that scammers are using Florin Talpeș’s image and voice in a fake investment offer

Bitdefender is warning about a new deepfake campaign in which the image and voice of Florin Talpeș, the company’s CEO and co-founder, are being used to promote a fake investment opportunity. The video materials urge users to access a link and fill out a form with personal data, claiming that places are limited and that an initial deposit is required.

The company states that neither Bitdefender nor Florin Talpeș operates or endorses any investment platform or financial trading scheme. Any message claiming otherwise is a scam.

Users are advised not to access the links, fill out the forms or provide personal, banking or login information. People who have already provided such data or made payments should immediately contact their bank or payment service provider, report the advertisement and notify the authorities.

Bitdefender says it is reporting the fraudulent pages to Meta, and some advertisements have been suspended. However, the company warns that new materials may appear. A similar campaign was reported in Romania in February 2026, using images of Mugur Isărescu and Florin Talpeș.
