A balcony collapsed onto a car in Bucharest / There were no casualties

A balcony on the seventh floor of an apartment building collapsed on Monday afternoon on Tineretului Boulevard in Sector 4 of the capital. The concrete slabs fell onto a parked car, but there was no one inside the vehicle, so the incident did not result in any casualties.

The collapse occurred in the area of an apartment building, at a time when the pieces of concrete could have endangered pedestrians and drivers. The fact that the car was unoccupied was the only reason the incident did not turn into a tragedy.

After the balcony collapsed, the authorities were alerted, and the area was secured. People were advised to avoid the location to prevent further incidents, as the building's structure and the remaining elements of the balcony may pose a danger.

Representatives of the State Inspectorate for Construction were notified and arrived at the scene. They are expected to assess the situation and determine whether there are additional risks to residents or people passing near the building. The cause of the collapse has not yet been specified.
