Baccalaureate 2026. The assessment of competencies begins today with the oral exam in Romanian language and literature.

The national Bacalaureat exam 2026 starts on Monday, June 8, with the assessment tests, which will take place until June 17, according to the Ministry of Education's calendar.

Candidates from the 12th and 13th grades, including those from evening education, completed their courses on June 5. The assessments include competencies in the Romanian language, the mother tongue, an international language, and the use of information technology. Upon entering the examination room, candidates must present a valid identity document and are not allowed to bring any auxiliary materials.

Test A checks oral communication skills in the Romanian language, Test B focuses on the mother tongue, Test C on an international language, and Test D on digital competencies. The assessments are conducted by two examiners and the results are expressed in performance levels, without grades. The complete schedule for the written tests will take place between June 29 and July 13, 2026.
