A woman from Arad has been arrested for 30 days after abusing her severely disabled adult daughter, physically and psychologically.

A woman from Arad county has been remanded in custody for 30 days on charges of domestic violence against her daughter, a severely disabled person. Between 2024-2025, the woman subjected her daughter to physical and verbal abuse, including repeated beatings and submerging her daughter's head in a tub used for washing animals. The victim, who is deaf and deaf-mute and has locomotor problems, lived in a state of terror and was completely dependent on her abuser. The woman was initially detained for 24 hours and then remanded in custody.
