The Association of Automobile Producers and Importers (APIA) will organize a press conference on Thursday to launch a petition aimed at modifying the current method of calculating the car tax. APIA emphasizes that the car taxation system introduced in 2026 has generated anomalies, deviating from good European practices and from the principle of "the polluter pays." During the conference, APIA will present not only the petition, which will gather the voice of citizens and an alternative for fair calculation, but also a retrospective of the car market from 2025, providing data and strategic perspectives for the future. The conclusions of the initiative will be sent directly to the competent authorities.
