ANSVSA inspectors checked 1,557 catering and commercial establishments on the seaside, applying 310 sanctions totaling 3,364,200 lei. Activity was temporarily suspended in 16 establishments and banned in 19 others, and 1.6 tons of non-compliant food products were withdrawn. The non-compliances identified include improper hygiene conditions, lack of sanitary-veterinary documents and sale of expired products. Checks will continue throughout the summer season.
