The National Regulatory Authority for Energy (ANRE) signed a memorandum with RAAEY, highlighting the joint commitment to improving institutional and regulatory processes in the energy sector. The memorandum aims at the exchange of information and best practices, supporting regional coordination within the EU, and developing a more liquid and functional energy market.

George Niculescu, head of ANRE, emphasized the importance of cooperation between authorities to achieve more efficient processes and competitive prices for consumers. During his visit to Athens, Niculescu also discussed with PPC Group the developments in the energy market in Romania and investment prospects, as well as with the Romanian ambassador in Greece to identify opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.
