The National Authority for the Protection of Children's Rights and Adoption (ANPDCA) has announced the adoption of two instructions aimed at creating a unified framework for the identification and intervention in cases of child trafficking.
These instructions focus on residential services and proactive detection in the community, especially for children from vulnerable backgrounds. The instructions provide specialists with practical tools, including standardized questionnaires and clear intervention steps. Police Commissioner Maria Cristina Ștefănescu highlighted the essential role of prevention in combating child trafficking. The new measures include annual training for professionals and awareness campaigns, promoting collaboration between various institutions.
These instructions are the result of a collaboration between ANPDCA, ANITP, UNICEF, and the eLiberare Association, aiming to protect children before they become victims. Their implementation at the national level will strengthen the capacity of the child protection system.
