Paul Anghel from ANPC warns that lemons under 45 mm and oranges under 60 mm are considered animal feed, but are sold as quality products.

These fruits, which do not meet the standards for human consumption, are often sold in hypermarkets/supermarkets as grade I. Anghel criticized both citrus importers and store buyers, stating that Romania is becoming a "joke" in this context. He explained that these substandard fruits should only be used for feeding, processing, or composting, not for human consumption.
