The National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) conducted an inspection at gas stations to verify the accuracy of fuel prices, in the context of the constant increases in recent weeks. Although the ANPC has not communicated the conclusions regarding prices, it imposed fines totaling 1.5 million lei for various irregularities.
These include the lack of price display in a visible location, failure to inform consumers about allergens in food, and the sale of spoiled food products. The ANPC identified 359 contraventional sanctions, of which 245 were fines, and removed products worth over 56,000 lei from sale.
The authority emphasizes that it will continue to intervene firmly to protect consumer rights and prevent improper practices.
