On Thursday, ANPC carried out nationwide checks on 208 funeral service operators, finding a number of serious irregularities. These include lack of operating licenses, unfair clauses in concession contracts, and failure to sanitize toilets. Following these checks, 75 fines totaling 355,000 lei were imposed and two operators had their services temporarily suspended. The actions targeted consumer protection in the field of funeral services.
