The commissioners of the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) conducted inspections at 509 economic operators in the rural environment, discovering numerous non-compliances. Among the identified problems are expired goods, plant-based products with mold, non-compliance with storage conditions, as well as storage directly on the pavement. Following these checks, ANPC imposed 152 fines totaling approximately 1.5 million lei and permanently removed products worth nearly 30,000 lei from sale. Additionally, the activity of six operators was temporarily suspended until the deficiencies are remedied. Other identified irregularities include the improper condition of the pavement, corroded pressure containers, and the lack of metrological verification of measuring equipment.
