The government is modernizing ANOFM: digital services and mobile teams for labor market integration

The National Agency for Employment (ANOFM) has announced the approval of a government decision that modifies the institution's status, a crucial step for the implementation of the project 'SMART SPO – Modern, accessible services prepared for the future'.

This project, funded by the European Social Fund+ with a budget of approximately 183 million euros, aims to modernize the Public Employment Service in Romania, in the context of commitments from the Education and Employment Program 2021–2027. The project introduces an innovative results-based financing model and focuses on developing mobile intervention teams to support inactive individuals in rural communities. ANOFM aims to increase the employment rate, integrate vulnerable groups into the labor market, and reduce social inequalities. The estimated positive financial impact amounts to 88.4 million lei, and the integration of inactive individuals could generate additional revenues of over 2 billion lei between 2026–2029.

The 'SMART SPO' project promises to transform the way ANOFM interacts with beneficiaries, moving from a reactive service to a proactive one.
