The National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM) has issued a warning regarding the risks of accidental use of roaming services in the border counties of Romania. Involuntary roaming can occur when a mobile phone connects to networks in neighboring countries due to a stronger signal or the unavailability of the Romanian operator's signal. Users may incur additional costs, especially at the borders with Serbia and Ukraine, which are not part of the European Economic Area (EEA).
