Cancer patients will be able to withdraw all their money from the Pillar II pension in a single installment. The Senate has adopted the amendment.

The adopted amendment provides that cancer patients can request the full withdrawal of their personal asset from the Pillar II pension fund, in contrast to the initial form of the Government which allowed only 30% of the amount to be withdrawn, with the rest of the payment staggered over 8 years. The debates were suspended to obtain viewpoints from the Financial Supervisory Authority and the Ministry of Health, in the context of concerns raised regarding the extension of exceptions for other chronic conditions.
