Adrian Ţuţuianu, the president of the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP), stated that there are 133,995 people aged between 90 and 99 registered in the Electoral Register, many of whom are likely deceased.

He also mentioned the existence of over 14,000 people over 100 years old, most of whom are deceased, and emphasized the need to find documents to justify their removal from the register.

He highlighted the problems caused by the untimely communication of civil status acts, especially in the case of deaths, which contribute to the maintenance of deceased individuals in the Electoral Register.
