Activists from the 'Save Roșia Montană' campaign and the Declic team have sent an open letter to President Nicușor Dan, requesting clarifications regarding the statements made by presidential advisor Radu Burnete, who promotes a pro-mining agenda. They believe that Burnete's position contradicts the principles for which Dan has earned the trust of the citizens.

The letter highlights concerns about the transformation of the state into an instrument for the interests of extractive companies and requests explanations about the quality in which Burnete made the controversial statements. Activists emphasize the risks associated with resource exploitation, including the impact on local communities and the environment, and demand a firm stance from the president regarding the future of mining legislation in Romania.
