Galati: Eight people were injured in an accident on DN 25, caused by a drunk driver who entered the opposite lane.

On Friday evening, a serious accident occurred on DN 25, in Galați County, near the village of Drăgănești, where a car driven by a 26-year-old man crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle. As a result of the impact, eight people were injured, including the two drivers and six passengers aged between 3 and 26 years old.

The 26-year-old driver had a concentration of 0.24 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air, and tests for prohibited substances were negative. The police have opened a criminal case for bodily harm through negligence and continue investigations to determine the circumstances of the accident.
