The complete closure of the A1 highway for asphalting works has diverted traffic on the DN6, causing traffic jams and dissatisfaction from drivers and locals. Although the authorities promise the work will be completed by the end of July, the Pro Infrastructure Association warns that it could continue into August, affecting traffic to Deva. Criticism is mounting, comparing Romania's working methods with those in other European countries, where the work is managed more efficiently.
