A one year and four month old child from Craiova died after falling into a swimming pool. The police have opened a case for manslaughter.

A tragic incident occurred in the Dobrești commune, Dolj, where a one year and four months old child died on Sunday after falling into a pool in the grandparents' yard. Police in Dolj announced that they have opened a criminal case for manslaughter. An ambulance crew and a SMURD helicopter were dispatched to the scene, however, despite the resuscitation efforts made by firefighters, the child was declared dead.

His body will be examined by specialists, and the authorities continue investigations to establish the exact circumstances in which this tragic event occurred. The police aims to clarify all the details of the incident in order to take the necessary measures.
