A 31-year-old man has been arrested for attempted murder after he stabbed a 26-year-old young man in a bar in Mârșa.

A violent incident took place in a bar in the town of Mârșa, Sibiu County, where a 31-year-old man stabbed a 26-year-old young man multiple times on the evening of January 4, 2026. The conflict was initiated by the victim, and following the attack, the young man suffered multiple stab wounds and was urgently transported to the Sibiu County Emergency Clinical Hospital. Prosecutor Dan Octavian Simion announced that the perpetrator was detained for 24 hours, being accused of attempted murder. On Monday, the case was forwarded to the judge of rights and freedoms at the Sibiu Tribunal, who will decide on the preventive arrest of the aggressor.
