On Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) announced the repatriation of 96 Romanian citizens from Muscat, Oman, through a flight organized under the rescEU mechanism for civil protection. This is the third repatriation action carried out by Romania, taking place in the context of the conflict in the Middle East. Among those repatriated, 21 were minors, and 19 required medical assistance. The flight was operated by the Polish company LOT, and the costs are covered by the European Union.

So far, over 6000 Romanians have returned to the country from conflict-affected areas, and the MFA continues to monitor the situation and provide consular assistance. Romanian authorities thank the United Arab Emirates and Oman for their support in carrying out these repatriations. The MFA reiterates the importance of registering on the econsulat.ro platform and recommends that citizens check information from airlines.
