A 55-year-old woman fell with her car into the Jiu River, being rescued by emergency crews in a state of hypothermia.

The call was made by a citizen who observed the incident. Police, firefighters, mountain rescuers, and doctors from the Gorj County Ambulance Service arrived at the scene. The woman was extracted from the vehicle in a state of hypothermic shock and received medical care. The intervention included both the recovery of the person and the car from the water, with the support of rescuers from the Gorj County Mountain Rescue Service. This action highlighted the effective collaboration between the different emergency response teams in crisis situations.
