On the night from Thursday to Friday, the mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, announced that at least 28 drones heading towards the Russian capital were shot down within approximately an hour.

Emergency service specialists intervened at the sites where the drone debris fell, according to information shared on Telegram. This action is part of a broader campaign by Ukraine, which has intensified long-range drone attacks against Russia, particularly targeting energy infrastructures.

The aim of these attacks is to reduce the Kremlin's revenue sources, essential for financing the war effort. Last week, a similar attack led to a significant fire at a refinery in southeastern Moscow, highlighting the impact of these actions on Russian infrastructure.
