A 2-year-old girl was urgently taken to the hospital after falling into a pot of jam, in the yard of a house in Timiș. The police have opened a criminal case.

On June 10, 2026, around 14:55, the police of Rural Station 7 Lugoj were alerted via a 112 call about a serious incident in which a 2-year-old girl fell into a container with hot liquid, used for making jam, in the yard of a house in the locality of Petroasa Mare.

Intervention teams quickly arrived at the scene, confirming the reported details. The girl was urgently transported to the Municipal Hospital in Lugoj to receive medical care. Following the incident, a criminal case was opened for bodily harm due to negligence, and the police continue investigations to establish all the circumstances in which the accident occurred.
