Minor under 16 years old without a license, pursued in traffic and stopped with gunfire in the locality of Bărbulești

A 16-year-old boy was detained for 24 hours following an incident that occurred in the commune of Bărbulești, Ialomița County. According to information provided by the authorities, the adolescent driving a car refused to stop at the police signals, being pursued over a distance of approximately 2 kilometers.

During the intervention, the agents used their issued firearms, firing two warning shots in a vertical plane to stop the vehicle. Subsequent checks established that the minor did not possess a driving license, and a criminal case was opened regarding the commission of the offenses of driving without a license and theft for the purpose of use.
