On December 4, actor Victor Rebengiuc, at the age of 92, was honored with the award of Romania's European Prime Minister 2025, during an event attended by the President of Romania, Nicușor Dan. In his speech, Dan emphasized Rebengiuc's success, mentioning that he has not been influenced by fame and has continued to work hard.

The President shared personal reflections on his relationship with film, highlighting the strong emotion provoked by "The Forest of the Hanged" and his appreciation for "The Reconstruction" and "Moromeții" as representative films of Romanian cinema.
