During the award ceremony for the Romania European Prize 2025, Victor Rebengiuc, a renowned actor at the age of 92, stated that he does not wish for his name to be associated with a street or a public transport station. He explained that this could create confusion for the residents of those areas, who might have difficulties receiving correspondence. Rebengiuc emphasized that the presence of his name in the credits of the films he has acted in and in critical materials related to the history of theater is sufficient. He also mentioned that he does not want to honor a trolleybus or tram station with his name, reaffirming that he does not feel the need to be mentioned in this way.
