The 'Prof. Ing. Dimitrie Leonida' National Technical Museum, a symbol of Romanian technical heritage, will reopen its historic wing on March 28, after extensive works that lasted 40 years.

This wing will offer the public, especially young people, the opportunity to explore the history of technology and electrical energy in Romania.

Founded by Professor Dimitrie Leonida, the museum was created as an educational space, aimed at training young specialists in the energy field. Dimitrie Leonida gathered the first exhibits of the museum, donating them to the state in 1951, and the museum has expanded, now presenting over 4,500 square meters of exhibits illustrating the evolution of technology and electrical energy in Romania. Collaboration with the Electrica Foundation emphasizes the importance of technical education for new generations.
