Iwamasa pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute ketamine, collaborating with two doctors to provide the actor with drugs worth over $50,000. Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett emphasized that Iwamasa was aware of Perry's addiction issues and attempted to conceal evidence after his death.

In addition to the prison sentence, Iwamasa received two years of supervised release and a $10,000 fine.
