Tyburn Film Productions, a B-movie company from the 1970s, lost a lawsuit for £250,000 against Disney, which used the image of Peter Cushing in the film "Rogue One." Cushing, a legend of horror films, died in 1994, but was "digitally resurrected" for this Star Wars spin-off. Tyburn claimed it had exclusive rights to his image, according to a contract from 1993, but the court ruled that it had not suffered losses from the use of Cushing's image. Judge Lady Carr determined that Disney had the right to use the image because it originated from the original 1977 film, for which Cushing authorized the production. Tyburn attempted to obtain compensation for "unjust enrichment," but the court concluded that there was no legal basis for this claim.
