The 29th edition of the European Film Festival will be opened by the Romanian Cultural Institute on Thursday at the Luceafărul Hall with the documentary "An Unexpected Glimpse of Deeper Things", the big winner of the most recent edition of the Karlovy Vary Film Festival

<p>The European Film Festival 2025, organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute, opens with the Karlovy Vary winning documentary "An Unexpected Glimpse of Deeper Things" by Mark Cousins. The event will take place at the Sala Luceafărul and will continue in other Romanian cities, showcasing over 40 feature-length and short films. The festival promotes European cultural diversity and will include Q&A sessions with filmmakers. The festival will close on May 18 with the film "100.000.000/ Cent mille milliards".
