The 11th edition of the Romanian Film Days (ZFR) will take place in Chișinău from October 16 to 18, bringing to the forefront the most anticipated Romanian films, including Romania's submission for the Oscars. The event will kick off with the launch of the book "Ecranomanie" by Victor Morozov and the screening of the film "Kontinental '25" by Radu Jude.
A novelty of this edition is the LitFilm section, which will present eight feature film scripts based on local literary works. Monica Babuc, the director of ICR Chișinău, emphasized the importance of ZFR as an exceptional cultural event, supported by various institutions from Romania and Moldova. Film critic Ionuț Mareș mentioned that the festival aims to bring the most relevant Romanian films, focusing on auteur cinema.
Tickets for the screenings sold out quickly, and the organizers intend to find solutions to manage the increased demand. Entry is free, with the reservation of free tickets. ZFR is organized by the Association of Independent Filmmakers from Moldova and ROVA FILM from Romania, with financial support from the Ministry of Culture and other institutions.
